From Friday, January 27 2012 - 6:00pm To Saturday, January 28 2012 - 4:30pm
In a traditional small town, neighbors knew and often helped one another during difficult times. People formed a natural caring community, where elders and children thrived. As they matured, people remained vital contributors to the community. Over time, front porches turned into back decks, with family members and friends moving far from each other.
By transforming neighborhoods, Triangle residents are enhancing their lives while aging in place and enjoying intentional community. Transformed neighborhoods help members form deeper bonds than is possible through a Listserv or the annual picnic. In intentional communities, neighbors know that others care for them and will support them in times of illness or need.
